Calling All Ranch Hands!

Soaring Wings Ranch is a Christian home for children needing a chance. The Ranch is a private, non-profit, non-denominational organization that provides homes for children ages 6-17 who are either neglected, abandoned, abused, or in need of a strong family support structure.

The Ranch currently has one boys' and one girls' home, but the vision is to have five of each. The founder, Andrew Watson, along with the Board of Directors and staff, strive to maintain a Godly vision where kids are able to receive hope and healing through educational development, counseling, a loving family environment, and the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Jenifer Kendrick, a member of the board, saw the need for "more" to be done for the kids and house parents, specifically things that might need a woman's touch. Hence, the birth of "Ranch Hands!"

Without having the exact mission statement in front of me, Ranch Hands will strive to pray for, serve, and financially give to the children and house parents for the glory of God in practical ways. The first project will be to provide gift cards to the children for back to school supplies and clothing. Many other exciting projects are on the drawing board.

You, my female friend, can be a Ranch Hand, too! The basic set-up will be to pay annual dues. An informative luncheon will take place sometime in September.
