At the Car Wash

We prayed hard at the breakfast table, asking God to give us hearts that are willing to work without grumbling, as unto the Lord.  We dusted, vacuumed, scrubbed bathrooms, wiped blinds, windexed, swept, mopped, and took out trash.  We praised God for our house and our cars.  We took into account that we are more thankful for what God gives when we take care of it and praise Him for it.

We turned our front yard into a car wash.  Suds and smiles erupted.  Joy spilled over into our hearts.  Work eventually became play.

We celebrated when we saw that hard work plus play creates rainbows.

Today I am thankful for paid off vehicles, little boys learning the art of work, long summer days, clean sheets, suds to wash away the grime of life, and smiles.  Lots of smiles.

I am also thankful for this photog session...of me and my Babe!
