Guest Bathroom Reveal

Happy 4th friends!  I am about to reveal our new guest bathroom to you all, but let me show you the finished product of our master bath!  My friend Betty said she had some leftover material that would match our new bath decor and she wasn't kidding!  Isn't it perfect?  Even the spiders/insects on the material seem to fit right into my "bird" theme!  Love it!  Special thanks to my mother in law for sewing and hanging the curtain for me.  So, thanks to Betty and Barbara, I have the perfect final touch to my bathroom...and it was free!

And, now to the guest bathroom.  Really, it is the boys' bathroom, but since guests use it as well, I wanted to convert it into something a little different and gender neutral.  OK, let's face it,  I wanted something just a tad more girly.  When Eli saw the color resembled North Carolina Blue, he was perfectly fine with it!

I knew I wanted light blue walls (thank you Benjamin Moore Buxton Blue, you rock my world) and black and white accents.  I was going for a little bit of a shabby chic look, but I am not sure it comes across that way.  I guess shabby chic probably doesn't use a lot of black in their decor, ha!  But, the remodel did lighten the room and create more of a spa atmosphere.

I found the little church birdhouse on clearance at Hobby Lobby for $6 as well as the light switch plate there for $5.  The polka dot hand towels are from Target and add a little fun to the room.  I love love love the shower curtain, also from Target.  I got the matching white scroll frames (they came in a set) from Pier One.  I already had the bird picture.

Speaking of the bird pic, this is where you come in!  I know it is hard to get an overall feel to the room due to my lack of a wide angle lens (funds always accepted, ha!) but I need to know your opinion of the bird pic and whether you like it in the room.  I also have one more wall that needs something...scroll work, hanging pastel arrangement???  I don't know...I need your help!

This is the wall that needs something...

so, what would you do?

I love both bathrooms!

I would hang some of your photography on the empty wall. Maybe some of your zoo pictures or your beach pictures, I like the one where you wrote in the sand.

I love the curtains, how fun!
